Concept - Contact - Communication - Construction - Completion
Concept:
This stage varies from project to project and client to client. Some people have a good idea in mind and need help putting it on paper, others have already made sketches and some have even hired designers and jotted down detailed notes. Don't worry, wherever you are at in the process we will listen to your thoughts and help to organize them.
Contact:
Simply head over to our Contact page and fill out your information or give us a call or send and email. We will schedule a time to meet and get acquainted with your project.
Communication:
During our initial meeting we will find out where you are at in the design process and what information will be required for subcontractors, municipalities, and yourselves. If a interior designer or architect is required we will send out an introduction and get the process started. After our first meeting we also send out preliminary pricing, also called a Project Feasibility quote. This will help you understand the project cost and and prioritize different aspects of the build based on your budget. After the design is complete and the budget is established we will schedule a subcontractor walk-through. This is typically similar to an open house and usually lasts 1-2 hours. Here we invite any of the specialty trades such as plumbers and electricians, flooring contractors, painters, structural engineers etc. After these quotes have been received we will submit our formal quote and scope of work documents that detail the tasks to be completed, the materials and fixtures that have been selected and the cost to complete the project and the payment terms. Once this is approved a contract will be signed and the construction phase will begin.
Construction:
After the contract has been signed we will submit the plans, surveys and engineering to the city for permitting and schedule material deliveries, dumpsters etc. Once the permit is received construction will begin and will be phased by trade. For example, Demolition, Excavation, Concrete, Inspections, Framing, Electrical/Mechanical/Plumbing, Rough-in inspections, insulation, drywall, millwork, painting, appliances, Final Inspections. Each projects timeline will vary depending on the scope of work. Throughout the build we will be available to answer questions, make changes and stay in communication.
Completion:
During the last days or weeks of construction we will meet to go over any items that need to be addressed and any touch-ups that need to be made. We want you to love your new space and will work together to make it happen.
